Dorset - Chesil Beach

Chesil Beach is 18 miles long and, 160 metres wide and rises to 12 metres in height.
It is one of the finest barrier beaches in the world and is an important place for birds and the marine wildlife. Chesil has 180 billion pebbles which no one is allowed to remove.

From Weymouth the long stretch is Chesil Beach leading to the incredible 'Isle' of Portland.
