Cerne Abbas
Our journey towards Yeovil led us to Cerne Abbas, the Giant
Man or the 'rude man' cut into the English chalk downlands.
Who is he? Some say he represents the Roman God, Hercules and is
1,500yrs old but others suggest that this giant is a caricature of
Oliver Cromwell and is only 350 yrs old.
|
Cerne Abbas, the 'rude giant' is about 180ft high.

|
In Yeovil we found a really nice Indian Restaurant called The
Viceroy as we were pining for some hot food!! The waiter was a bit
too friendly!
