Kandy is a beautiful place with its famous Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic,
a tooth of a Buddha which was snatched from his funeral pyre in 543 BC.
It was then smuggled back into Sri Lanka hidden inside a princess' hair
during the 4th Century.
